This place is so chill, the beach area is just perfect for relaxin and watchin the sunset. The garden pavillon was spacious with a cool outdoor bathroom and the staff are super friendly, especially gehan who was really attentive. The pool is great and always clean, and having tasty meals at a la carte is a nice touch. Every evening here was like a dream!
only downside was that the dining area could get a bit warm and sometimes the air-conditioning in the room had a moment or two.

Unfortunately, the pool area lacks shade. The advertised wine room had many unavailable selections, disappointing. The food choices were limited and below par, especially at breakfast where vegetarian options were sparse. Activities were few, with only a couple of kayaks available for a large number of guests, and the beach experience was hindered by rocky areas, made swimming difficult.

Can recommend for a weekend outing
Spacious room, attentive staff, with really good service at the bar where we enjoyed refreshing drinks in a relaxing atmosphere by the beach, made our stay so enjoyable that we couldn't have asked for more from our quick getaway.
Nothing, it is perfect.

The beachfront location is fine, complemented by a spacious room and a massive pool that's perfect for relaxation. The buttery croissants at breakfast were good. The pool's water was on the warmer side for my taste, and the dining area could feel a bit stifling at times. While the staff's friendliness was commendable, their English proficiency was moderate, which sometimes made communication challenging.

The Cellar is a hidden gem with a glass enclosed wine cellar that boasts the finest collection of wines on the East Coast. I felt like I was in a secret club, sipping on the four different wines perfectly paired with gourmet dishes. The experience was like taking a delicious journey through a vineyard, ending with dessert wine and cheeses served on the beach. It was a truly unforgettable tasting adventure.

Our family had an incredible time exploring the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka with its breathtaking beaches and vibrant marine life. Snorkeling and enjoying water sports were an absolute pleasure. The kids were overjoyed as we climbed aboard our own private jeep, embarking on thrilling adventures in search of wild elephants in Minneriya National Park. It was an unforgettable experience for all of us.
For dads, it would be great to have more interactive activities for families with children.

We got great value for our money at Sun Siyam. The room was amazing - spacious, comfortable, and the private pool was a cool feature. The hotel's location right by the beach was fantastic, and the staff treated us well.
The breakfast selection could use some improvement.

This hotel is pure luxury! From the moment we arrived, we were pampered with exclusive amenities like in-room breakfast, and a beautiful indoor swimming pool. the spa centre was amazing, and we enjoyed the sauna, the Turkish bath, and the treatment room. the services were beyond our expectations, with staff who were attentive and friendly. the location is perfect with beachfront access and great garden areas to enjoy. We loved relaxing on the sun terrace with sun loungers.
The only negative experience we had was with the packed lunches, which were not up to the standard of the hotel. it was just a minor issue in the overall amazing experience we had.

Very nice Hospitality and Personalized Service!
We were warmly welcomed by the staff, were very good to cater to our needs. They even accommodated my father's strict diet, preparing special meals just for him. On our second night, they organized a romantic dinner for us on the beach. The attention to detail and the really good service made our stay lovely. The spacious and calm rooms, along with the beautiful view of the sea, added to the overall relaxation and tranquility of the hotel. The breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious, offering a wide variety of tasty options. The pool, always clean and with a fine view, provided the perfect place to unwind. The hotel's small size ensured a peaceful and intimate experience. Although there were some minor drawbacks, such as the limited swimming options in front of the hotel and the higher restaurant prices, these were outweighed by the overall really good experience. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to disconnect from their busy lives and enjoy a true paradise. I strongly recommend this hotel for an amazing stay.
